Wheatie @ the bottom of my purse...

With the pocket change find... I dumped my small accumulation of change that takes about 6 months to get a large handful (using plastic all the time)... and found a 1947-D wheat cent (yay)... not the prettiest condition on the obverse, but I noticed a bit of color under all the grime on the reverse - so I dropped it in acetone.... looks much nicer now! image

Just too bad the condition of the obverse wasn't as good as the reverse!

Not a wheatie but the only copper U. S. Mint piece I own, at this point.

Let me know if you ever find a draped bust, capped bust, or seated coin ...when you get to the bottom of it (the bottom of that pile you dumped outta your purse image )

LOL.... my "purse" is little more than a wallet-on-a-string.... and usually the only interesting find has been a random bicentennial quarter!!
