Pet Peeves

image

Ok, I'll start with one.

Ebay auctions with any PSA, GAI or SGC graded card upright with the insert
showing card, number, whom and grade, but the horizontal image you have
to turn your head sideways to look at !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I mean, come on auctioneers, we can glance at the insert sideways, but
the card should be shown so that we can look at it straight on !

Ok, now everyone else.............GO !!!

PS-Actually it doesn't even have to be a graded card!

Misspelling in an auction for a card with the player's name on the card. Chris Carter, for example. Look at the darn card, it has his name correctly spelled right on there image

Speaking of "there," pet peeve #2 is when people type "there" instead of "their" or "they're."

#3 is #2's cousin: "your." Maybe my perception is skewed because I'm sensitized to the poor grammar, but I swear over half of the time a sentence calls for "you're" on the Internet, I see it typed "your."

No such details will spoil my plans...
  • keyword spamming....putting PSA in the description when it is a raw card or graded by a company other than PSA...image
  • Sellers not putting a reasonable buy it now price on the 2000 UD MLS Sign of the Times Auto's I need. So I can snag them before all of these international knucklehead bidders run the price up on me.

Heck, bypass ebay all together and contact/sell direct to me. image

Failing to list a qualifier in the title of a PSA graded card. Nothing worse than thinking you may have found a deal, clicking the link to getting ready to buy, and seeing a hideous scan that shows a qualified card.
  • not making the S&H fees clear.
  • 1 - sellers who put "Not PSA" in the title

2 - sellers who purposely leave the qualifier out of the title

3 - people who don't know the difference between "its" and "it's"

4 - people who say "I could care less" when they mean "I couldn't care less"

Autographed items where the seller says they have PROOF.

A picture of someone signing something for someone at some time is NOT proof.

    Snarky bastiges.

  • referring to the nscc (national sports colletors convention) as the "nationals"...
aren't the "nationals" restricted to dc & drag-racing?
