Looks like a repunched date to me.

Double punched date. Really neat coin. What are those white specks?

Neat RPD. Seen quite a few 47's with repunching, some with a slightly different configuration. Looks like smoeone needs to brush their copper image

Don't know what the specks are. ? I thought it was corrosion. How do you brush them off? With camel hair or something like that Longacre has been talking about?

It's neat how the repunching is at the bottom left of every number.

MikeinFl said it was a N-1 (R-2). Thanks again Mike.

As pb2y said, this coin is an N-1, repunched date. It is the copper equivalent to the 1849 Doubled Date half dollar (sometimes called the "dramatically doubled date" which is a $2,000 coin even in Good condition. The 1847 N-1 cent is much more reasonable. (and here is the shameless self-promotion part of the post: I do have a nice AU-55 1847 N-1 cent on my website.)
