Another Numismatic Cliffhanger™-- I just got an email from US Rare Coin Investments…
I just received an email from US Rare Coin Investments. Part of the narrative stated as follows:
“Oh and regarding auctions, we are in the midst of writing an update on the current state of the coin auction business which will appear soon. We will start exploring what appears to be a looming implosion in one of the oldest companies as well why selling at auction may not be in your best interests, depending on the type of coins you have for sale. In any event, this article will be a doozie!”
It looks like we have another Numismatic Cliffhanger™ on our hands. I suppose my index finger will get another workout pressing the refresh button on that site, too.

<< <i>An implosion has been overdue. I wonder which firm it will be? >>
Based on the hint, I am thinking "Stack's". Nothing I have seen from them, so far, has indicated that they are having trouble, but I am far removed from the front lines there. I would have guessed either Superior or B&M, both of whom now appear to have significant financial backing. Heritage appears to be rock-solid. The Goldbergs have their niche.
Coin's for sale/trade.

<< <i>Nothing like a great rumor to get the weekend started >>
All I can say is that Pistareen is a smart man.
