I know it's WAY too early, but that's the best time to make them, because you really don't know who's good or not.
Here are my divisional winner predictions for the 2007-2008 NFL year:
NFC North - Green Bay Packers. It may be Favre's last year (since he's going to break numerous records) and for some reason, the whole team gets better. Remember Elway before he retired? But of course I'm hoping the Vikings can win it!
NFC South - Carolina Panthers. Not because I'm a fan, but this year the only real competition in this division are the Saints, but they need a better defense, and their offense was completely shut down last week.
NFC East - Dallas Cowboys - Giants were thisclose to beating them, so it's really a toss up, I guess. But I'll choose them to win the East. (As much as I hate to, lol)
NFC West - Seattle Seahawks. Basically the same team from last year. Not alot of competition (besides the Rams) in the West. On paper, Arizona has probably the best team, but they got to get it together.
AFC North - Cincinatti Bengals. No secondary in the North can stop the Palmer to Johnson bombs.
AFC South - Indianapolis Colts. Duh. Probably the most complete team in the NFL.
AFC East - New England Patriots. It's like Superman put on Green Lantern's ring. An already powerful team that adds one of the best recievers in football, Randy Moss. And this ain't "I'll play when I want to" Moss, but a more mature, dangerous Moss.
AFC West - San Diego Chargers - Highest scoring offense in the NFL last year. Didn't lose anyone but Keenan McCardell, but it shouldn't make that much difference. The Broncos should give them a run for their money, though.
NFC Champions - Dallas Cowboys (I hate even thinking that. Grrrr!)
AFC Champions - Indianapolis Colts
Superbowl - Colts by 23 points!

Tampa Bay will continure to suck!
Does anybody really care anymore about their fluke that happened somewhere around five years ago?
Never before has a franchise fallen so far so fast ...
"How about a little fire Scarecrow ?"
NFC North: Vikes will contend in this really, really weak division. Bears will fall far, Pack will be mediocre, the Lions are well, the Lions.
NFC South: Bucs. Not being a homer here, but for the last 5 years the team that finished last one year won it the next. Bucs continue the tradition.
NFC East: Cowboys. That offense is loaded and their defense will improve. Giants and Eagles will both stink this year, and the Redskins always underperform.
NFC West: 49ers. Most complete team in the division, but none of the 4 will blow people away. 10 wins will be a huge year for any team in the division.
NFC wildcard: Carolina Panthers.
AFC North: Bengals because somebody has to win it.
AFC South: Colts looked ready to repeat and shutting down 2006's best offense so completely was an eye opener.
AFC East: Patriots, though it appears their 'strategy' of capturing team's defensive calls will result in fewer points.
AFC West: Chargers. If LDT can get on track and even be a shadow of 2006, they will roll to 12 wins.
AFC Wildcard: Denver
NFC Champs: Cowboys. Best team in a very, very even conference with no real standout team.
AFC Champs: Colts.
Super Bowl Winner: Colts.
<< <i>Thanks for your predictions wolfbear...insightful as usual. >>
What could possibly be more bitter than to be a Buc's fan at this point in time?
Get over it, your team will be back maybe next decade. Quit living in the past! This is 2007! ... Ha ha ha ha ha ...

Wow, thanks for giving the NFC North to the Vikes! Good luck to the Bucs, but the Panthers are looking mighty good right now. But of course it's only the 2nd week coming up. ANYTHING can happen!

I think they have the best chance of anyone in that division...each team has real weaknesses, I think the Vikes will be fine.
As far as the Panthers, I even hesitated to make them my wild card...they are just so damned inconsistent, and their going 8-8 last year was inexcusable...talk about a coach on the hot seat, John Fox has got to be feeling that temperature rise.

The only reason I feel so confidant about the Panthers was, in fact, a coaching change. Carolina fired Dan Henning (offensive coordinator) and hired Jeff Davidson. All Henning wanted to do was run, run, and run. Davidson likes the passing game, and Carolina is a better team when it passes. Steve Smith, Dwayne Carter, and Keary Colbert should benefit from this new offense. That should give Deshaun Foster and DeAngelo Williams more yards with the run, because of the extra options. To be honest, what worries me the most is the secondary
