OT: Anyone want to write reviews?

I work for a travel company and we have a review site located at Review Blue . I'm looking for people to submit reviews on Hotels, Campgrounds & Restaurants that you might have visited in the last 3 months. The reviews need to be a minimum of 150 words. I thought this might be a good idea since there are people form all over the US & Canada on these boards.

Here the good part... Each review pays $10 , which is paid out at the end of each month. After you’ve written five reviews, my company will send you a cheque for $50 and $10 for each review you write after the first 5.

If you need more information visit: http://info.reviewblue.com/signup.html . If you are interested in signing up print out the Writter Contact and fax it back to me 403-777-9304. Where it says Please indicate name of ReviewBLUE.com Employee Referrer: __________________________. Please fill in Ryan Williamson

If you have any questions please let me know.

Thanks,
Ryan

Point 13 has changed but isn't updated in the document. We will accept reviews from US citizens that are at least 16 years of age.

Sorry, but when the first thing I see when visiting a website is a bunch of Google ads, I click back immediately.

This is just the site where your review would appear. The Companies in the Google ads are paying to advertise on this site

I know, but it just stands out so much, and when I see that kind of thing so prominently on a website I wonder if the company is more interested in just the eyeballs for the Google ads, or for the other content of the site, whatever it may be.

Interesting concept, though. Paying for reviews, although people are usually glad to speak their minds for free, and you'll get more honesty out of someone if they're doing it simply to do it, and not just to be paid. You'll get a bunch of bogus reviews when you offer real money.

So don't give any money for the reviews and you can dispense with the Google ads and your site will be MUCH better for it.

All strictly my opinion, of course. image
