What is up with Germany, sales-wise?

Of all the countries coins that I sell, Germany has held the least promise and the lowest sales.
I don't ask unfair starting prices, usually attractively less than krause but Germany's sales have been pretty rotten.
Would someone educate me as to why?

So I've noticed ... my timing as of late has sucked when it comes to multiple items on my wish list hitting eBay at the same time. Right now I have my sights on two commems, and I doubt I get either of them as they are one of the more popular issues.

That might also explain why it seems that 90% of German silver coins have been polished to death. (OK, it's not really that high, but seems that way sometimes

As for your reference coin: I have one just like it, but I paid around $10 for it. And your coin appears to have PVC spots.
Its all about eye appeal for a lot of collectors I know and they would not give that coin a 2nd glance

Also, look below the 3 on the crest and to the right of it. Bottom of the S in Scheide, a couple other spots too.
If you have any Unc German States Hannover coins, let me know
However, when I take it outside the pvc damage jumps out at you. So, I'm embarrassed I didn't notice it before. The lights I use (natural daylight bulbs) must have illuminated it properly for viewing on the internet after imaging. I'm further embarrassed I didn't see it then. The coin will be going off sale momentarily, but what do you do with (what was) a nice coin with PVC damage?
Dang, I'm pi$$ed!
Thanks wildjag!

<< <i>I think some German minors have a smaller following... the larger crown size coins seem to have a stronger following among collectors... just my observations. >>
That's quite true. But as one who collects kreuzers, I've found to my annoyance that some in that smaller subset are quite avid collectors with überbidding tendencies!

Try the good ol' acetone bath. Should get most of the greenies off in a couple minutes so long as its not too far advanced.
