KC Chiefs - Abysmal

How exactly do they score just 3 points against that terrible Texans defense? Ugh, what a terrible performance.

Why does LJ only get 10 carries? What a debacle.

The Falcons just called. They want Schaub back.

Texans are an improving team and better than people think. Adding Green and Schwaub to complement Johnson gives them a fairly respectable offense.

  • They still have no offensive line and all the talent in the world won't help them be respectable until that line holds.

Line did very well today...only giving up 2 sacks and Houston rushed for over 100 yds. I'm sure if you took a poll before the game and asked which of these two teams would rush for over 100 yds today, almost no one would have said Houston.

This outcome shouldn't surprise anyone. The Chiefs are looking at 3-13 this year. Houston definitely has some talent on the defensive side of the ball.
  • KC hasn't exactly been a powerhouse. Schaub is used to getting rid of the ball quick in the west coast offense days - he was sacked twice today.

Getting rid of him was pure genius.

Well, the Falcons didn't know they were going to be dogged with so many problems in the off-season.

True, but when you have a QB that takes as many hits as Vick did, you'd better have a decent backup after getting almost nothing for Schaub, they went looking for losers and found Harrington... they gambled and lost. I'm thinking Petrino will trade the 1st pick in the '08 draft because he wants Brohm.

Funny how bandwagoner "fans" pile on other teams while their alleged "favorite" team is competing for the worst record in the NFL, again.

    Edited to add:

    The Sucks 0-1
    The Texans 1-0

And.. eh hem.. "your" bandwagon team even had a MORE miserable first five year "winning percentage...a mind-blowing" .294.

And this year isn't getting any better for your flavor of the month.

    Sucks 0-1
    Texans 1-0

  • Texan's need to string 5+ wins together before they stop being the laughing stock of the NFL draft.
  • Texans passed on *both* reggie bush and vince young?

  • Texans should have picked V. Young

    OR

traded their #1 pick for a handfull of lower picks. Good ol' Mario would have still been available at #10 - #15.

Huh? The general consensus was that he was at least the #3 pick behind Young and Bush.
  • Huh?

    no it wasn't
  • So they give #1 draft pick money to Mario when they could have had a legit #1 in VY or Bush?

Just the texans being the texans, the same reason they'll be the doormat of the league forever.

That may well be true; time will tell. I'm not saying Williams was a good first pick, but he sure as hell wasn't a #10-15 pick as being claimed. By the time the combines were done and his stock rose he was a solid #3 at least in most analysts' mock draft.
  • Mario Williams #8

    http://www.betus.com/sports-betting/2006_Mock_NFL_Draft-1473.aspx

Mario wasn't a top 3 project until news leaked that the Texans would pick him.
  • Mario at #5

All those other lists with Mario at #1 were edited after news broke out.
