Opinions needed on an Earle "Greasy" Neale Auto

I typically do not buy anything that hasn't already been graded by PSA/DNA, but I got this for a good price. It looks good to me in comparison to others I've seen, but I am not an expert. Please let me know what you think!

Thanks

Reese

  • Randy, didn't Neale also play on the Reds 1919 WS team.
  • Yes he did. He had several decent seasons with the Reds

I found it interesting, aside from all the football accomplishments, that he was an outfielder that batted .357 during the infamous "Black Sox" World Series of 1919.

  • Reese,

That looks good to me. A little shakier than his earlier signatures so I would guess he signed that one later in life.

Thank you all very much for the advice. I am sending this signature to Knuckles who is going to make me a card out of it. I didn't want to have it authenticated, then send it to him and have him crack it out of the case, and then submit it again when the card was finished. I will be sure to post pics when he is done!
