My first trip to Cooperstown

Hi guys. Just got back from my trip to New York and thought I would share some pics from my first trip to the Baseball Hall of Fame. We had a great time (at least I did
) and look forward to going back in the near future. So much history, so little time to see it all.
Have to start out with the card (sorry it's out of focus, they would let me take it out of the case to get a better picture):

A few more T206's:

A couple awesome T3's:

A few run of the mill game used jerseys
:

And finally, my wife at the 2006 St. Louis Cardinals championship display:

Sorry about the photo quality. One of these days I'll get a decent camera.

I was there for Induction weekend , that place was rockin !
I loved being around all that memorabilia , matter of fact I tried to talk my wife into moving to Cooperstown . { No dice }
The boy was all in though .
There is just so much to see there , I spent most of my time in the shops , I also spent a lot of time talking to Tom Catal , Owner of Safe at Home , Mickey Mantle Museum , I brought a couple of my baseballs , the 1932, I was thinking of donating he said " What are you Nuts, If I had that, I wouldn't , That just might be the nicest baseball I have ever seen "
I heard that and I know my face must have turned red , or I must have at least had some stupid grin on a mile wide . . .afterall, look where I was standing . . . He called so many people over to look at it Staff, friends , customers . . . .I almost felt famous myself , he said if I ever felt like selling it call him first and gave me his personal Cell #.
For anyone that ever goes there , you definitely want to take a look at Toms place at 91 Main st. in Cooperstown , you definitely do not want to pass that place up.
From what I gathered Tom used to be Mickey Mantle's signing agent and pretty much started the memorabilia industry .
I think I must have spent at least 2 hours in his place , but it only seemed like 5 minutes .
You know . . . . Andy Griffith and things like that .
I could definitley afford to slow down to that pace a little bit , seems so laid back in comparison to where I live , everything needs to be done yesterday .
