question for Peace, maybe Morgan people

See the whitish areas around the periphery at the bottom? What would cause that? I've seen it on other coins. It's almost like the metal flow is different there.

Me too. Could be other explanations but look are the devices along the periphery. They do suggest weak peripheral striking. Metal still did flow but not the same there. I have seen it on some Morgans, the 1891-O date comes to mind.
