Question about cert number that is invalid????????????????

I just purchased a 1948-49 Leaf Ted Kluszewski PSA 6 and the cert # is listed as not valid.

Has this ever happened to anyone?

Thanks......

That does not sound good. I know that I check certs from scans and sometimes 3s look like 8s and 5s like 6s in a scan.

Was the buy from a reputable seller?

Dave, I'm guessing psa clerical error. The label looks good, seller looks good, and the # just after it is a 48 leaf marty marion psa 7. The next one is a 48 leaf johnny vandermeer also a 7.

I think you're ok, maybe email cosetta and see if she can track it down and see what happened.

  • Thanks for the quick response. I'm pretty sure it's a clerical error also. I have complete faith in the seller. No accusations at all toward them. I've e-mailed PSA but I figured I would get some info much faster here due to major backlogs for everything at PSA.

    Thanks.......

  • I agree with jimq. Contact Cosetta and your problem will be solved one way or the other. They usually respond to clerical errors from the customers very quickly. And Cosetta as everyone on these boards knows is not only very professional but a real nice person to boot.
  • I was e-mailed from Cosetta today. Fast response and very professional. They are working on it.

IMO there has never been anyone more pleasant to deal with than Cosetta. Even the PSA-hating Net 54 had a Cosetta appreciation thread recently
