A nice Iranian toner

got a small collection of foreign silver, most of it i've been able to identify from ebay items.
there were some eye appealing coins in the bunch, 4 packs a day must do wonders for coins image

this one i have the country, iran, but haven't an idea on what date it is. just showing it off but
if anyone knows the date and denomination...... this is about the size of a QUARTER, i also have one
with the same design about the size of a dime.

One of the great engravings- very popular... might we see the other side?

Although the date is upside-down and under some toning, I'll venture a guess and say the it's a 5 rials dated SH1323 (1944). KM# 1145
    "Have a nice day!"
  • upside down? i was wondering about that but thought would make the hear upside down.
guessing by the other coins in this collection i would have guessed around 60-64

    there were some drachmai's in there dated greek 60, 63 + 64

It is a 5 rials, but I can't see the date.
  • Looks like 1323, which translates to 1944.

The clue is in the wreath. Almost all countries I've seen coins from, incl France etc., have the wreath starting at the bottom and curving up on both sides.
