A different 1/4 Real I own, not the same year but it may be helpful although this was from the Heaton mint and the other may be from the Guatemala mint and if so, should have G or G-G as a mint mark. Not sure if I'm right but this is what Krause seems to indicate.

No idea about the piece - haven't encountered any of that kind. Looking through the seller's feedback, though, it looks like you would be more likely to not to receive the item at all, than receive a counterfeit.
I love these little 1/4 reales; I have a bunch of them. I may be off base, but when I look at the mintages for these and their availability, I think Krause has them undervalued. $2.50 in UNC??? I'll buy them all day long at that price.
I also think that Krause is off the mark on the Guatemalan counterstamps, especially in high grade (AU or better).

I just thought it was an interesting LION. If it was an error, all the better. I have seen years on both sides of this one that Stamped real solid and centered?

This is not my area but it doesn't look bad to me. Just my gut feeling (and I have a pretty big gut).
