Lot of Roman bronze coins. Got them in 2X2's with ID's written on them...I can't vouch for the accuracy of the descriptions and don't know much about grading these either. 33 coins - $235.00 delivered.

Here are a few German 2 pfennigs. I believe that someone on the forum collects them by date. The photos show the detail, but I'm not very good at taking pics of copper, so the color of most of them is off. They are all med/dark brown coins with uniform color on both sides. Prices listed include delivery.

    << <i>Tetricus I POX AVG, S-3179 >>

Would that mean "A pox on the emperor!" ? image

Seriously, though, Bill, I could use the Tetricus II piece you have if you don't sell the lot.

I might take the whole lot from you if you are willing to trade for it. I'm sure I have some nice Darkside (non-ancient but some of it old).

Oh, and speaking of Roman coins wanted, I won't post my wantlist this week because it is under revision.

I will say this, however: I have expanded the scope of my collection and will be adding the ladies.

Roman Imperial coins with empresses and female personalities wanted.

Not the earlier Republican pieces with goddesses and such- I mean actual people like empresses, mothers and sisters of emperors.

So far all I have is Julia Maesa.

Nice lookin' stuff here, as usual. You Darkside brethren have impeccable tastes and a good eye. I had to give a couple of bids to Laurent's porcelain notgeld from the top of the thread, and wandered through coinpictures' eye candy, finding myself tempted by that MS64 Leopold Hogmouth. image
