1984 jordan star xrc....fake gai slab?

hey all, just wondring if i could get some opinions on this card. the slab just does not look right to me. is this a new slab or a old one? i have never seen the flips like this anyone else?

    have no clue if the card is legit or not but that is GAI's new holder

    wow.. really. that thing is but ugly and looks like there is a ton of space for movement as well. anywho thanks for clearing that up on the flip its the first time seeing these new ones.

    Man, those new flips are nasty looking.
    Is the Star issue an obscure size? Why did they
    use their larger/more spaced (thinner) black insertion?
    Looks like the card is still in the penny sleeve if you look closely.

    GAI sucks!

    this card is standard size so i'm not sure whats up with the holder. that is nasty

    thats the new gai holder i believe,calguy seen it too then, thats 2 for 2/ i thought the old ones were ugly,these are just as bad,im still trying to catch that bug dizzle lol

    GAI uses a larger cut out for the Star cards because even the legit ones are irregualr in size from card to card. I have opened bags with some larger than standard, some smaller, some shorter, etc. So this makes sure any legit one can still fit and look like other Star cards they slabed. They do a good job of avoiding trimmed Stars too so you don't have to worry about it being small from a trim. The new flip is horrible.

    Can I ask where the scan is from?

    geez i don't know..i'm guessing for the same reason other cards are forged? I may be wrong though.
