"You keep saying Babe Ruth!! Well, who is she???"

" You're killin' me Smalls!! You're killin' me!!

"You're not in trouble son, you're dead where you stand!!"
  • Ham: Smalls, do you want a s'more?

    Smalls: S'more what?

Ham: No! Do you want a s'more?

Smalls: I haven't had anything. How can I have s'more of nothing?!

Ham: You're killin' me, Smalls. Pay attention. This is s'more stuff. First, you take the graham. Then, you stick the chocolate on the graham. Then, you roast the mallow. When the mallow's flamin', you stick it on the graham. You cover it with the other end, and then. . . you stuff. It's kinda messy, but good!

Ah, brings back memories. One of my favorite sports movie next to the original Bad News Bears.
  • I loved seeing the memorabilia in James Earl Jones's back room where he was talking to Benny the Jet and Smalls.

James Earl Jones handed that kid one hell of a baseball there, was that the 1927 Yankees ?

That baseball , or at least the same baseball is in a book called Smithsonian Baseball , along side a 1932 Yankees baseball that looks exactly like mine , when I saw that baseball in that book, I damn near fell over, there are a few differences though, his has 22 signatures , mine only has 16 , when I looked at it in the book, I thought it was mine though , the signatures are almost exactly in the same spots

Baseballs are owned my Richard Angrist , this guys collection is Awesome !

If you guys ever wanna check that out , it's Smithsonian Baseball By Stephen Wong , :A look inside the worlds finest private collections:

Great book, it's about 30 bucks , or you can just go to the library, they should have it

The movie is GREAT! My 4 year old can recite EVERY line and watches it all the time. He likes it so well we also have Sandlot2 and Sandlot3. The 2nd one is pretty good too, different bunch of kids 10 years later. The 3rd movie has "squints" all grown up and ends up coaching a team......ove the scene where squints jumps into the deep end of the pool and gets mouth-to-mouth from Wendy!!!
