9th straight loss today...sucks, but they've achieved so much more than anyone anticipated this year. Will be great to see Jones starting in left field next year and Felix with another off season to work on mixing his stuff up. Was a blast having games meaning something all the way to september, but 9 straight losses is simply not going to get you to the postseason.

Go M's! Way to issue a beatdown to the run-down and overpaid Clemens, and close within a game of the floudering yankees.
M's suffer a horrible, horrible 9 day run of games and reel off an impressive, dominating game in which King Felix shows why he's the King, old man Clemens might be done for the year, and the 'mighty' yankee bats were turned off after getting just one run all day. M's as a result sit only one game out of the wild card, and what a fitting end to the yankee postseason run that to be ousted by the same club that came back from nowhere in 95, down 0-2, to win 3 straight and not only knock out the yanks from the postseason, but got their manager fired as a result. How fitting it will be that the same Mariners will rise above the yankees once more and yet another yankee manager will be replaced at year's end.
I love the symmetry!
"The answer was in the Patriots eyes. Gone were the swagger and c0ck sure smirks, replaced by downcast eyes and heads in hands. For his poise and leadership Eli Manning was named the game's MVP. The 2007 Giants were never perfect nor meant to be. They were fighters, scrappers....now they could be called something else, World Champions."
<< <i>Go M's -- Make it a sweep!! >>
OK, make it 2 out of 3 -- show some life, dammit!!
Listened to about an inning of the game today, and is there honestly any announcing team WORSE than suzy and sterling? Good god they are unbearable.

Nope, they are the worst. Hands down, bar none. Even Yankee fans would agree on that, well - some of them anyway.
But listening to those two call a baseball game (especially if you are not a Yankee kool-aid drinker) is absolute torture.

Forget blocking him; find out where he lives and go punch him in the nuts. --WalterSobchak 9/12/12
Looking for Al Hrabosky and any OPC Dave Campbells (the ESPN guy)
<< <i>Gotta agree also. Although Michael Kay isn't much better either... >>
Singleton and Murcer are pretty good. Leiter is OK, but he should be doing the Mets.

<< <i>The Yanks beat the M's worst pitcher. Whoop-dee-doo. I look for the M's to win the series today.

Thank you...HoRam is godawful.
They didn't pretend any more than any other team has in putting together a winning season. They have a core of great young players, they have the best outfielder in the game in Ichiro, and Jones is among the best prospects to come up in years for any team. Give Sexson a normal year (not this terrible aberration) and the M's are solid.
