No conceivable, fathomable way that the Packers can beat the Eagles. It's as close to impossible as possible.
  • stevekstevek Posts: 29,033 ✭✭✭✭✭
With Vick being out, the Falcons players can get an adrenaline rush from that and play over their heads for this game and perhaps a few games, not that the Vikings are that great of course. I can't see the Falcons losing this game.

Teams coming off a Super Bowl loss the last number of seasons have usually performed poorly the next season, and I see no reason why it won't happen to the Bears. Bears definitely lose this opener.

I just see Indy torching that very mediocre (read: terrible) Saints secondary. Although the Colts defense leaves a lot to be desired, I just don't see the Saints keeping up with the Colts in this one...

San Diego's defense will pretty much totally shut down Rex and crew...

I can't see how the Steelers would possibly lose to Charlie Frye and company...

Seattle at home is usually money...

Jacksonville scares me as they are usually VERY inconsistent at home...
  • I like Jacksonville the best.

I'd go with New England, San Diego, Indianapolis, and San Francisco.

    I like SF -3 and Atl/Min Under 36.
  • Atlanta beats Minnesota on a last second field goal.

Green Bay takes Philly to overtime and GB wins on an interception return for a touchdown.

    Detroit blows out Oakland.

    Bears get blasted.

    Dallas beats NY 10-3.

Indy 34-24 verse Saints! Indy and the over......$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
  • MorgothMorgoth Posts: 3,950 ✭✭✭
    Indy over NO- 34-17

    Philly over GB- 28-10

    Seattle over TB- 21-10

    Pittsburgh over Cleveland- 35-7

    Dallas over NYG- 17-10

I think Minnesota is almost a lock to win, can't see Harrington winning on the road w/ new team.

I don't see 5 locks, could be a lot of surprises or close games. The only game I see that looks one-sided is Seattle vs Tampa.

Little chica throwing up "the shocker" NICE!

I'm a Vikes fan, season ticket holder even, and I think we'll be terrible this year but I think our defense will keep us in games we should otherwise lose mightily. I do believe they'll beat Atlanta though. Dunn has never had success against us, Harrington (with the Lions) always manages to throw an early first quarter TD and then proceed to give the ball to us 3 times. Vikes by 4 (one of the few times I'll probably be saying that)

San Diego should have no trouble with the Bears
    NE should whoop the Jets
    Philly will throttle GB
Detroit has a good chance in Oakland
    Seattle should destroy TB

Some great games on the docket for this week. I'm really looking forward to tonights game the most though!
  • This should be easy...

    Houston

Lot of good calls with Indy.

I got the total points scored right, just gave NO one more TD that went to Indy. Colts looked tough last night.

Colts beatup on a good football team with surgical precision. The scary thing is the Colts looked like they weren't even playing in 3rd gear in that game - 2nd gear most of the game. Scary good. I'm glad they're in the AFL - LOL.
  • Vince Young can't read a book, much less a pass defense. How is Jacksonville, a team that allowed less than 100 yards rushing per game last year, getting raped for closing in on 300 yards rushing?
  • grote15grote15 Posts: 29,694 ✭✭✭✭✭
Tennessee is a deceptively good team and getting better.

  • I dunno, they seem so 1-dimensional on offense to do much...

And how bad are the Falcons which had a good reason to be motivated and weren't. Falcons may be the worst team in the NFL, even worse than the lowly Bucs.
  • Adrian Peterson had a huge game...I think the Chiefs may be in for a long, long year as well.

  • << <i>And how bad are the Falcons which had a good reason to be motivated and weren't. Falcons may be the worst team in the NFL, even worse than the lowly Bucs. >>

Record-wise, the worst team would likely come from the AFC. There's less parity in that conference... although when the Chiefs and Raiders play, someone has to win!

No one even scored on offense until late 3rd quarter (a FG) in the Falcons/Vikes game. Little Joey threw to the wrong color jersey twice for pick sixes, but all-in-all, the under was easy image
  • gosteelersgosteelers Posts: 2,668 ✭✭✭
Let's name the AFC teams that are possibly better than ANY team in the NFC:

    1-Patriots
2-Ravens (although they're getting roughed up tonight)
    3-Steelers
    4-Colts
    5-Broncos
    6-Chargers

I'll take maybe Seattle (they looked sluggish, though) and/or Dallas (if they can straighten out their defense) in the NFC.
  • AD is who I thought he was! Great Game for the Vikings, although our lack of WR's and a Rookie QB will be our Achilles heel this year. TarVar does have potential but WE NEED SOME WRS!!!

    Am I speaking Chinese?
