I am selling my Wheaties Collection... please read...

I hate to do this but it is something I have to do. I recently moved into a smaller place and no longer have a room dedicated to my sports memorabilia. I have been collection Wheaties boxes for the last twenty-five years. All the boxes that I own are full and never been opened. They still have the original cereal inside of them. They all are in excellent condition. I take care of them very well and now have them stored in sealed boxes with padding. I have certain boxes that were only released in certain areas of the country and were limited edition. They range from All the Jordan's, The Bulls Championships, Northwestern Big Ten Championships. The Spurs Title, Payton, Gretzky and many many more. I used to keep up on them for years and would spend a lot of time and money on getting certain ones and doing a lot of research on them. I am going to package them up in protective boxes ready for shipping. I can ship them any method you choose. There are 117 boxes total and I know from research a lot of ones that I have are very rare. Not included in the total are the mini ones of the Bulls championships along with Jordan's. I had an offer in 1993 for them but at the time I was still very much into collecting them. I am not going to put a price on the lot but I am willing to accept a reasonable and fair offer. I want you to get a great deal but I do not want to give them away either. I am willing to work with someone though. I also am willing to trade besides cash depending on what you have to offer. I am a fair and honest person. I accept paypal for transactions and to see what kind of business I do you can check out my ebay id = illinipride. If you are in my area you are more than welcome to pick them up in person as well.I am located in Southern California. This will add an instant bonus to anyone that collects sports memorabilia and it looks great in a room dedicated to things like this. I want them to have a nice place and someone to show them off. They will be useless sitting in boxes at my new place so I must get rid of them. I can take more pictures upon serious requests and list them. Like I said I am willing to give a good deal.

It sounds like a wonderful collection that you were very passionate in acquiring, but it would be hard for anyone to make any offer, reasonable or otherwise, if you do list everything available. How can they? Unless there is some sort of wheaties math I am not familiar with such as each box has a book value of $X.XX, but I dont think that is the case since you say that some are more rare than others.

These sort of collectibles are not my area of focus or interest, but I thought I would mention all of this so you are not sitting there wondering why no one has made you an offer on what sounds like a wonderful collection. Hope this helps.

I know that there is not a book listing on these. I know that certain people collect certain things and there are people that collect Wheaties. People collect them for certain players on the box and other reasons. I have no clue what these are worth. I just know that I have over a hundred of them. I know how much they cost in the store. I know how much most of them sell for individually on e-bay. The majority of them are over 15 years old. The Jordan's are popular and the Larry Bird's. It is going to take the right person that is looking for something like this. Like I said someone is going to get a great deal. Prices for a condo in my town of Santa Barbara are more than just about any area in the US. I no longer have a room dedicated to my sports items. Instead of keeping them in my garage they should be displayed somewhere. Trade or Sell... either or is fine with me. I have pictures upon request they are very cool for the right person....

I agree with you. I can sell things quickly here for a fair price and I have purchased things here for a fair price as well. Plus no ebay or paypal fees and no waiting for auctions to end. Plus the people here are very high quality. Never had a problem.

I had them sold this morning and at the last minute the guy pulled the plug said his wife wouldn't want over a 100 boxes displayed!!!
