I guess that.....(Dent).....comeback a few years ago......(Boone).......is a nice thing to have.......(Grady leaves Pedro in too long)........I think the Yankees have a few too.....(5 games sweep in 06 to pretty much end your season)....... but i just cant think of them right now.
Well pitched game. Yankees have a kid who threw a no-hitter in his second career start as well. Bad thing for the Yankees is that the kid (Phil Hughes) blew out his hamstring in the 8th inning of his no-hitter and hasn't really regained his mechanics yet.
As for Baltimore, I'd be kind of embarassed being no-hit by a guy who looks like he doesn't have to invest in a razor blade yet and has yet to have "The Talk" with his parents.

I was lucky enough to be at the game last night. Unbelievable atmosphere, I've always wanted to be in the park for a no-no. Thought I missed my chance when I gave away my ticket to Derek Lowe's no hitter a few years to back so I could go to the Bruins playoff game instead (which of course, they lost).
The next 5-7 years of this Sox/Yanks rivalry should be fun with Buchholz/Dice K/Papelbon/Beckett vs. Hughes/Kennedy/Chamberlain.

OT: It is interesting to note that the Florida Marlins pitching coaches and medical team could not stop Beckett's "finger blisters" on his pitching hand. Beckett missed "many chunks" of time every year he was a Marlin. On the "DL" for blisters various times!
He gets traded, and lookie! lookie! The Red Sox training/medical staff seemed to have put a stopper on "Beckett's blistering".
Damnit Boston!

Edit: Congrats! For the No! No! (...at least it wasn't against the Yankees!!!!)

Too funny.
With regards to Beckett and blisters, chances are it has to do with the high levels of humidity in South Florida and places like Georgia, etc. where the Marlins would generally be playing. The American League typically has somewhat "drier" summers in their cities and it could just be that Beckett doesn't blister up like he used to.
Or maybe he just stopped sucking his thumb.

I'm a Yankee fan , but it is always great to watch a no hitter , especially when it isn't happening when they are playing against your favorite team .
It is about 100 times more exciting when it is a Rook at the helm . I think that is so unexpected and if you happen to be at the game , well that's just like a really great day !!
I just got back from Boston for a game at Fenway....but not the no no. I bought tickets during spring training and decided on Sunday afternoon instead of Saturday evening. Dam, I was so close. But I still got to see a great game and a chance to meet George Scott.
sweet game, never even seen a card of the guy before or heard of him till that night!not bad 2nd game ever pitch a no hitter-prett damn remakable actualy! randy
