Dimensions larger, but grader says evidence of trimming...

I bought a 68 Ryan that was determined by PSA to be trimmed... and sold as such...Just like the seller described, the card measures the same height and perhaps a tiny bit wider than all my other PSA graded 68 Topps. Other than the obvious suggestion to re-submit, and the possibility that this was cut from an un-cut sheet...can anyone suggest how a trimmed card would be the same or larger than the acceptable examples I have?

It was factory cut large, micro-trimmed on one side, so it is still relatively large, but trimmed.

This absolutely happens with 1955 Bowman baseball, for example. And T-206

Is it supposed to be slightly larger in both dimensions?

I believe under magnification they can look at the "grain" of the edge and tell whether it looks like other factory cut cards or whether it has been trimmed by a third party.

Size isn't the only factor.

yes...but if I am understanding mikeschmidt correctly ...there are runs that are "factory large cuts"...and if that is in fact what he's saying...are they large in both dimensions? Hence, when you find a card large in one dimension...it should also be large in the other...and if it isn';t...it has been trimmed...
