Jay's earned his stripes, if I were in that league. Andy Lustig, Mike Printz, Jon Rosenthal, Warren Mills, Mark Feldt, good choices all, I'd say.

I like Nic's eye for quality.

There are dozens of other with a good eye for quality and value that I'd be happy to work with. All of them can get in the ballpark on the grading side, the hard part is getting the coin priced right and delivered to you. If you think about all the dealers who work for 5% commissions at auctions (and know what they are doing) that's about the cheapest way into the top tier of coins around. As a rule,

I don't agree with the grading of many major retailers, they are too concerned about price and resale, and often don't fully assess the technical qualities of the coin in question or are over-mesmerized by eye appeal to the detriment of everything else.

Mark Feld is high on the list, amongst several others still here - a very knowledgable group. Brandon is pretty darn good, but you have to grind him image.

I see bad deals and mediocre coins in every inventory, including my own, so I wouldn't give anyone a blanket endorsement.

However, to answer a slightly different question, if I had to rely on somebody else to spend my money for coins that I wanted to collect...

    For US coins:

    Bob Rhue
    David McCarthy
    Anthony Terranova
    Ed Milas

    For World coins:

    Nobody

To be fair, both lists would be longer if my collecting interests were not so eclectic and esoteric.
