Ya play with fire, ya get burned.
Sorry about that.
In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
PR92 is PCGS's way of saying body bagged.
Sorry I said 62....I meant to say PR92

Man, I'm sorry to hear of this! I would listen to TomB and give them another shot.

<< <i>how can a coin be grade PR92? >>
Its the code for bodybag.
I'd be interested to know what your thoughts are regarding the BB'd coins. Do you think that they have issues?
Also, do you have pictures of the coins that didn't cross?

No, not yet but I will take some when they are returned.
Did you think they would grade higher at PCGS? While, to me, that seems like a stretch why else would you submit them?
<< <i>I don't understand the PCGS grade then the designation as cleaned. Are they in bags? If so, do they have graded tags with them? By the way, PCGS and NGC are not internally consistent, in my opinion, with their grades in this series and my knee-jerk reaction is that if you submit again that you might get your PF64RB and PF63RB grades from PCGS. >>
<< <i>Sorry to hear it. I always send "Cross at any grade" and in the plastic. >>
Esp. if its in an NGC slab. I have had better than a 90% cross rate at PCGS with NGC slabbed coins!

Like John said...
"A lesson learned"
Although I have had a few that did not cross , they (PCGS) didn't crack them out if there would have been a loss. It's one advantage of leaving the coins in their current slabs. It's still protected and it's still market acceptable by several thousand collectors.
I have cracked PCGS coins out of their holders and sent to NGC where they bodybagged.

While I find the TPGs to be consistant, they are not 100%
All of the above examples have been subsquently slabbed by either NGC or PCGS.

If at first you don't succeed ... !
Cross at any grade is ridiculuos given there's no bottom to what it came come back as (except P01 of course).
Better to specify the REALISTIC lowest grade you'd accept and not gamble (regardless how in your favor you believe the odds to be).
So, what are they worth NOW?
