1974 MINT set with All Washingtons

I have a chance to purchase an extremely nice 74 set with all Washington cards. It came as a factory set to the seller in 1974, it has been handle just once to plastic sheets.

Is this a good break down set if I get it graded? I have never really sold too many 74s, I am no idea how popular they are or how difficult to get in high 9 or 10 grades. Are they even worth grading, do 9s mean anything in 74?

Thanks
Chris

Depends on the price you are paying for the set. Right now 9s are going very cheap with the exception of a few lower pop cards. Tens will bring some good cash but unless you are submitting them under the name DSL sports ....I doubt you will see many of those with how tight grades are lately. Eights arent worth the grading fee. Hope this helps and good luck with your purchase.

I believe that factory sets had "Padre" cards, not "Washington" cards.
