Selling a collection

I am expanding my business and may need to sell my coin collection to fund my expansion. What is the most profitable way to get ride of the coins?

If you had any "1 of a kind / top of the registry" then maybe one of the auction houses.
If "common" or raw, then the thoughts already posted for here and ebay.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

What is the most profitable way to get rid(e) of the coins?
......some certified (pcgs or ngc only) but 99% raw

    1. eBay
The reason this is my opinion is that unless the coins are key or semi-key dates, raw coins won't bring much money here.
Maybe if the coins are GEM with great close-up pictures you'll get close to what eBay is bringing, but I wouldn't count on it.
Circulated silver coins from the 20th century? Forget about it. Lucky to get bullion, again unless key or semi-key.

    2. Here
Although I think your chance are better at getting more $$ on eBay, the question is how much more?
You're looking for profit, not just a higher selling price.
There are fee's associated with selling on eBay that might eat up the difference between selling there & selling here.
The beauty with selling here is that it's free, and you can pull them at any time and place them on eBay without it costing you a penny (cent for you aficionados).

If you have some key or semi-key dates, higher grade raw coins, or even those PCGS/NGC coins AND can take nice picture of them I might suggest here first.
If you do list here first, I would suggest doing some homework, finding out what the coins are selling for in the open market & setting a price for them that is reasonable if you are going to sell.

Thank you all for for your advice (and spelling tips) If I need to move the coins I will sell the ones that are valued over $100 on the boards and the others on EBay. I am hoping it does not come down to that but I need a contingency plan just in case.

I havew to respectfully disagree with my good friend ajiaimage Selling here is definately an advantage, and your nicer coins will bring what they are worth. Plus, here, you get to make a bunch of us fellow collectors happy just to see some new stuffimageimage
