There is a rather visible "target", like what you would see through a rifle scope, with crosshairs, floating above his head.

The target is actually a print-registration mark for the cyan color. These are sometimes applied via a clear sticker and it is possible one of the loose stickers fell out of place.

Weren't there 2 Jerry Browne cards too, one with the wrong player pictured?
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

I sold like 3 of those target Treadway cards and averaged around $15 a piece on ebay. For whatever reason that's one of the more desired errors in the set.

Wow, lots of piddly error corrections. So, I guess Fleer fired the Quality Assurance guy after the Ripken FF debacle, and hired Adrian Monk to replace him?

Andrew---the Browne variation you asked about is from the 1988 Fleer set, card 462. In one version he is a white ball player ( actually Bob Brower), and in the other a black ball player ( correct photo)
