Full lunar eclipse! Post a coin with a picture of the moon on it!

I just noticed by accident that it was a full lunar eclipse. Went outside fer a smoke and said, wow, look at that!

Post a coin with a picture of the moon on it!

I don't have one handy, so I'll go with a Liteside commem I borrowed from Coinfacts.com.

    Here's an ancient Roman:

Lunar crescent at the base of the Maria statue in the Marienplatz in Munich. An inexpensive souvenir from our visit to Munchen several Christmas's ago

A couple of Parthian drachms with the lunar crescent. A scarcer Vologases VI (208-228) at left and Orodes II (57-38 BC) at right. Both have the ubiquitous seated archer reverse type.

  • Well, not having an image of my own I had to pluck this one off the internet, but Liteside or no, this one certainly fills the thread title requirement:

Lord M, wouldn't the sun have been a whole lot easier!image

I searched through the majority of the images of coins I have owned or own until realising this would probably have to do.
