GEM, here is the plan...... lets bring on the TV stations with their camera's rolling ....
I have no problem getting $100 sealed bag of pennies to throw in....can bring the local county government whom is reasonable for the machines in to the party as well.....
this would be picked up as National News! I can see Andy Rooney now making fun on 60 minutes......
GoldenEye - You don't know how much silver money you put in the Coinstar machine, and you're complaining?
You said it's not worth your time to count the coins out, do you still feel that way?
Sorry, I don't feel sorry for you. There's plenty of other ways to turn coins into cash. I mean, just look at a Coinstar machine. Did you really expect it to give an accurate count at the rate coins roll through it? I'm anxious to hear what your plan is next time you have coins to cash-in.
My humble '63 mint registry set, not much, but it's mine!

I sure as hell do expect it to count my coins accurately. That's why I pay it 8.9%. If it doesn't count my coins accurately, then Coinstar is an illegal fraud.
i tried the coinstar counter last winter and dumped in a few dollars of pennies - i was just testing it because i had all the pennies wiped. it counted most of them but kicked out different pennies and some dimes?? hmmmm ???
i guess coinstar cant count 100%
oh yeah i did check to see if the reject ray was empty and it was
Personally I think coinstar was a ingenious idea and a service to most community's. Some banks accept loose change, most don't. That company is already getting rich on the 9% they charge and want to continue doing so for many years to come. I doubt they would risk intentionally ripping people off for a few more pennies. Just like Humans, machines make errors. As a side note, If anyone needs their coins counted and rolled-I can do it for 8% as I have less overhead than coinstar.
I thought it was a dumb idea and completely missed the boat.
"My friends who see my collection sometimes ask what something costs. I tell them and they are in awe at my stupidity." (Baccaruda, 12/03).I find it hard to believe that he (Trump) rushed to some hotel to meet girls of loose morals, although ours are undoubtedly the best in the world. If it was free then I wouldn't be complaining.
