Shipping to Taiwan

I have a card on EBAY and tonight a potential buyer from Taiwan emailed thru ebay, asking if I'd ship to Taiwan. I responded that I'd only accept Paypal to a verified address.
Would you sell to buyer in Taiwan or anywhere overseas with Paypal or is it a very shaky proposition (it's currently an $8 card)?

Thanks for your advice...

HELLLLL NOOOOO! I no longer sell outside of North America accepting Paypal.
If they absolutely want the item, they have to pay with a money order. I already learned my
lesson shipping to Europe and Asia because Registered mail doesn't get scanned in a lot of
country and they don't follow the proper protocol as we do here with our postal service.

If it's an $8 card, then that's a different story since the value is pretty low. Mine was over $200

I do, I just charge them the $19 it costs to ship the card with tracking info. If they pay for that, I will sell to them.

If it's a low dollar value card, I'd go ahead and ship it. I've sent several things to Taiwan and Hong Kong regular air mail with no problems at all. They were all low dollar items. Just curious, is it a baseball card? Remember that Taiwan used to dominate the Little League World Series for quite a while. Looks like Japan is the Little League powerhouse in Asia now.

Low value items I do. Big money stuff worries me.
  • Since it's a smaller dollar item, as long as you are properly reimbursed for shipping shouldn't be a problem.
