1756 Basel City View With An Interesting Detail

I bought this 1756 Basel City View (top image) from Scott, aka cacheman, some time ago, and when he sent it to me,
he wrote that there are interesting raised features in the reverse side fields that he could not explain. After looking
at the coin (see the area around the head, wings and tail of the basilisk) and checking other Basel City Views, I found one from 1741
(bottom image) that closely matched the reverse details, but in reverse. Can anyone here help me identify what is going with this coin?

Edited: nevermind - looks like a die clash.

The raised features around the basilisk are in opposite relief from that of the 1741.
I suppose it could be an overstrike of some kind. That makes the most sense to me.

That coin was always one of my favorites of Cacheman's Talers. Of course, I can't think of any of his Talers that I didn't like!

I agree Roman, they are clash marks. Th ones over the eagle head match the shield on the other side.image

It can't be Boz as the reverse he is showing is not the reverse for the Basilisk Taler...

It always appeared to me to have been restruck on a previously struck taler of a different flavor. The raised areas only appear on the field and nowhere on the devices....if I recall correctly that is.

Ahh, it's not the same reverse! In that case, i'll go with an overstrike.
