Wax Pack Holder

I like these plastic wax pack holders for long term storage
Does anyone have a cheaper source than Higbees on Ebay?
They seem to be the only seller of these ( I googled it too...nothing)

TOPPS CELLO / WAX PACK HOLDER CASE OF 300 HOLDERS GAI

Also, does anyone have other ideas to store packs out of the Box?

Thanks,

Dave

The cardboard boxes made to store PSA or other graded cards would be a good way to store loose wax packs. Usually you get get these at a card store or show.

I don't know of any other sellers of those holders but it's such a specialized supply that I'd be surprised if there are many other sellers. You might try the dealers who specialize in unopened material such as Baseball Card Exchange or Mark Murphy.
  • At least these are something, but it seems like the packs would be able to move around alot in them. I'd add packing peanuts or soething around the edges, which would help protect the wrapper/cards, but somewhat ruin the overall presentation.

  • I have the packs in boxes now...but my concern is that over the long term (10+years) there might be problems.

    such as

.....packs that have gum ...if stored horizontally one on top of another ( like they come in the box)
it's just not a flat even surface between the packs...resulting in possible bends or warping

    and...

If you store the packs on their side or top/bottom...again possible bends or warping.....

    anyone?

I'd probably store them in an upright fashion in the aforementioned tall box designed to fit graded cards. I don't think there'd be enough pressure to cause warping or any structual damage to the cards inside.
