Yeah it's lightside crud, but the colors are purty...

Haven't bought any darkside from NEN in a while... nothing tripping my trigger (at least not that I can afford), so instead I bought some toned morgans from them that caught my fancy. For some reason vibrant color is so much purtier when it has a big ole' hunk o' silver to play on... crown-sized coins offer such a wonderful canvas for toning, especially morgans which tend to be extremely lustrous and often prooflike as well.

Common date morgan toners is one area where you can get some really neat classic pieces for (relatively) little money ($50-150). Not as cheap as modern Canadian dollar toners, which are still a big favorite, but unlike the Canadian toners, one things is for certain: While there are a zillion morgan dollars out there on the market, but there is ALWAYS demand for them... everybody and their grandmother collects morgans, so future liquidity is excellent.
