Nice find at the local card shop!

If you're not a Packer fan or a fan of the early 51 Bowman cards this may not thrill you as much as it did me; however, I consider it a major find. While at the local shop today I was going through the 51 Bowman Packers and I found this card autographed by Ted Fritsch. A very tough signature as I have only seen 2 Fritsch autos ever. (Todays 51 Bowman & a postcard postmarked in the early 40's. Needless to say, I bought both. I think I'll keep this one too. Happy collecting!

  • very nice, may i ask what you paid for it if you dont mind
  • You're going to cry. $50.00 In my opinion, an absolute steal. Cheap at twice the price.
  • WOW! Do you live in Wisconsin? If so, what card shop?
  • Yes. I live in Fond du Lac. The card shop is Card and Coin in Green bay about a mile from lambeau. It was mixed in with the 51 Bowman Packers. I was stunned when I saw the price.

I was born and raised in Fond du Lac (1951-72), on what was then the far West Side. Great memories of buying packs at the Mom and Pop grocery stores that were found every few blocks in the days before "supermarkets."
