I'd say it's an EF-40

I'll say 40 to 45, and thinking along the same lines as coinkat, I wonder what the luster is like. His grade of 50 is not out of the question, in my opinion. I could maybe agree.

I was leaning towards EF40/45, as well, but the nicks on the leg and a bump on the rim might keep this coin to EF40.

edited to add... there has to be lustre to get a 50 otherwise it is EF... I need to do a better job of writing what I mean

The 16-S nickel is a tough coin.

Goes for around $100 in that grade.
