Ha, that is pretty cheap for little league football. However, each of the defensive lineman should be kicked in the butt for not going when the ball moved, no matter how it was snapped.
#10 PSA Set for Topps Baseball currently on eBay under seller deeppurple1.
If it was used in a pro or collegiate game I would call it a creative piece of deception, but in a game with 10 year olds I think it is cheap and sends the wrong message to these kids. The coach probably thinks he is very very clever....

Part of me says it's a cheap, unsportsmanlike play, but part of me also says that trick plays like this (and others I've seen on YouTube) make football more interesting. So which part of me is right?
If it's legal, it should have been defended. Trick plays are part of the game.
Titans v. Bills "Music city Miracle"- Coach Wade Phillips said it was illegal over and over, what he didnt say was that NONE of his 11 defensemen were prepared for the play. The shot of Dyson running downfield with not one defender within 15 yards of him in any direction was classic. We baby kids too much, let them learn how it is done early so they will be prepared when it happens.
Indeed, if it's THAT unsportsmanlike and really makes that much a mockery of the game, it WILL become illegal, just like baseball did for runners who steal bases backwards or run backwards around the bases. These really did happen before they were outlawed; no joke!
Having checked it out, there are at least a DOZEN examples of this play involving youth football on YouTube alone. Having seen this, this must be fairly common. Just like when the old fumblerooski play worked, it was because of an unprepared coach more than anything else. The NCAA outlawed the play, not because of sportsmanship, but because they claimed players could get injured.
In any case, the minute they outlaw a particular play, someone else comes up with something better. This play is no different than a statue of liberty, a reverse, a hook and lateral, or any of the other trick plays available. Heck, I believe last year one MLB team successfully pulled off the "hidden ball trick". All part of the game.
Just think of whaat it was like when the first pass was thrown in a football game. For years it was nothing but rushes.
The move is called a side snap. The ball does not have to pass between the centers legs, its effectivly the move he would make if he were snapping straight to a running back, As long as he stays down on the ball while it is passed off it is legal and a live ball.
What about the Arkansas play from last year. That ball was snapped across the field while Alabama was still on the other side of the field.

A football game is war and nothing is fair in war, as long as its legal I say way to go.
Much like in Baseball the old pickoff play where the pitcher acts like he throws the ball to second and then the second baseman and outfielder act like it got by the second baseman and the whole time the pitcher has the ball. Runner takes off and is tagged out. Then there is the old hidden ball trick first baseman and pitcher talk on mound first baseman gets the ball and walks over pitcher sets for his pitch baserunner gets a lead and is tagged out.. Silly and cheap plays but an out is an out just as a TD is a TD.

The pitcher can't set for his pitch, since it is against the rules to put your feet on the rubber if you don't have the ball.

Bet the moronic coach thinks he's so very clever for being that deceptive, pulling the wool over kid's eyes.
Bad, bad, bad display of sportsmanship.
