I opened (3) 1975 OPC baseball this weekend (hence the wrappers)

And dropped them off to PSA at the show in NY.
24 cards in all and 20 should be graded 10 (we'll see).
3 HOFers -- Yaz, Sutton and Carlton

We had a cousin from Canada who send them to my brother and I in 1975. But since they were OPC, we felt they were inferior to Topps (we should thank our lucky stars for ignorance). As a kid, I remember opening one and putting it back in the wrapper.. French writing, ewwwwwww! 2 more seemed to open on their own (weather over the years) and 2 more were still closed and I'm having those graded as well.
I guess we'll see in about 60 days, but I am standing firm on my guess of 20. They were absolutely gorgeous.
2 - 9's
10 8's
4 - 9 oc's
4 7's
I hope I am wrong but good luck.
<< <i>please post the results when you get them , having opened about 10 different boxes of opc's from the 70's in the last few years , here is my guess on your grades

I would guess that to be about right. I have opened a bunch of OPC 70's as well, submitted upwards of 300 cards from the rips and have gotten a mere ONE 10.

This is a travesty.
Anything worth resubmitting?
The only two in the sub, I believe. Must have been very lucky that day.

Used to grade all the time. Quit for now.
Here's one of 'em:

Edit to say- I'm also not sure he realizes that 20 PSA 10 '75 OPC with stars like Yaz, Carlton and Sutton would be roughly worth $6,000-$8,000. Also worth noting, there are a total of 35 total PSA 10's in the entire '75 OPC set out of 1800 total cards graded. I'm not really trying to dash his hopes and dreams, just being realistic.
If he can get 10 PSA 8's out of the lot I'll be really really impressed.

And yes, I do not own many graded cards. This new part of collecting is entirely new to me.
And 20/24 was probably quite an over-estimate, but we'll see.
The cards were MAGNIFICANT. The sharpest corners I have ever seen. A few may have been OC as well as MC.
