    The denticals look fairly sharp as does the strike... lets wait for what the experts say.

    Hmmmm ... tough to tell from the photo. The 1904 series was a mint set, not intended for circulation, so they are found in higher grades and the details are sharper than most business strikes. Many look proof-like. Sometimes very hard to tell, even with coin in hand. If I'd have to guess, I'd say a Zerbe specimen.

    I agree with FilamCoins that it is likely not a proof but a coin from one of the mint sets that were struck at the request of Farran Zerbe.

  • I agree, business strike. As far as grading goes, MS63? Hard to tell with my laptop monitor.

    The proof is rarer and is worth more.
