    Nothing like a 15.00 era for a reliever. I see we gave Wily Mo away too. Theo is batting about .200 this year with the Lugo & JD Drew signings. At least our Japanese contingent has been as good or better than advertised.

    Gagne should have been gone after one, at most two runners.

    IF the Sox make the postseason, he should NOT be on the roster. I can't think of a more ineffective pitcher on the Red Sox during my lifetime.

    They should release him tomorrow morning. After the first 2 batters, he wasn't even near the plate. Tito should have yanked him, to hell with his confidence.

    I agree. Gagne's done nothing but cough up leads in important situations. But in all fairness, I think that Frank Thomas walked on what should have been called strike 3 and after that at bat they were in Gagne's head and he went Rick Ankiel on us.

    Disgusting loss.

    Also, why didn't Tito let Delcarmen pitch the 8th? I actually assumed he was, and cringed when Gag-me walked in. Delcarmen only pitched to one batter in the 7th!
