On the other hand, if you want to see a loser, go to myspace slash go fast mini.

Edited to add and clarify: This isn't making fun of what he drives. There really is a webpage on myspace with those three words, just without the spaces image

what happened to you leaving this forum, only posting on your 'farewell' thread and the Texans thread, yet here you are, showing just how obssessed you are with me, tracking me down in yet another forum.

And you tell me I need a life.

    Hypocrite.

What happened to 'The ones who lost were the ones that allowed discussions to dissolve into personal attacks, and of which I admit I was guilty and also state is not something I will allow myself to delve into in the future.'?

The more things change, the more they stay the same.
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

    Okay. You're a hypocrite.

You stated you wouldn't delve into personal attacks in the future, and yet you did. You could have easily not responded to stown's post. Maybe by not responding, you could have earned a little bit of respect. Just for once Ax, try not to get the last word. Let it go.

    SGC & GAI.

I for one think PSA has egg on their face after this deal. Ban me once, shame on you, ban me 6 times, and I'll just pay for a membership and get to say whatever I want. There are several positive contributors to this board leaving, and there is one guy who gets to stay and continue to do his best to push away some more.

Of course I didn't renew my membership, so who cares what I think?

"and they never stopped rockin, goin'round and round"-greatful dead- cant we all just get along?
  • Hi!

I'm giving this a single "bump" to ask why there is such a disparity in the vote.

    People goofing the poll?

People disliking stown by a 2 to 1 margin?

    People liking Axtell?

People just think Axtell won? Sometimes a cigar IS just a cigar.

    Anyone care to comment?

    Either here or via PM?

    ---------------------------

edited to add: at the time of this post the vote stood at 10 to 22 in favor of Axtell winning.

  • we lost because STOWN left. simple as that.
  • And we continue to lose because bobafett continues to add nothing but hate and angst to this messageboard.
  • cry me a river peaches.

Hate is a strong word, how about disdain?

I have not seen Boba Fett spread any hate and angst at all, he brings good input and some humor to the boards which is good.
  • MorgothMorgoth Posts: 3,950 ✭✭✭
Stitzen why can't someone just disagree with you w/o it being hatred and angst. Just yesterday you posted this in the Red Sox thread

If you believe that 10 hits over 6 innings isn't getting shelled, well, sir, I suggest you go learn something about baseball. 10 baserunners in 6 innings is a miserable start.

I personally believe giving up 2 runs in 6 innings is an OK start. Not shelled. He also did not give up a walk and stuck out 8. If you had Clemens on your fantasy team you did great in ERA, Wins, K's and only your WHIP took a hit big deal. Bottom line his team won and someone might say scattering hits and stranding runners is a sign of a good pitcher. However, you let out the "go learn something about baseball" line and all semblence of reasonable conversation is out the window.

I voted for Stitzen due to him being allowed to stay. I wish Stown would just ignore him but he has a right to leave whenever he wants.

The bottom line is he enjoys controversy, it is what it is.

Trouble is 'scattering' 10 hits over 6 innings isn't the sign of a good outing, its the sign of a lucky one that only 2 runs scored.

When your a stikeout pitcher you can have a higher WHIP and still be successful.

Perhaps in your prime, but a 45 year old pitcher simply cannot continue to allow nearly 2 baserunners an inning and expect to be successful

<< <i>Ax, you are such a walking contradiction, it surprises me that your head doesn't explode. In the Brady Quinn thread, you denounced his good game agains USC because, and I quote:

<<The only thing that matters is the W, and USC got the win.>>

But somehow, in this case, the W, which Clemens got, means nothing and he had a bad game to boot, which only YOU seem to conclude.

Gee, you think there's a problem with the logic there??? >>

Very curious how he will respond to this....
  • It surprises me that you're actually trying to compare a QB with a starting pitcher. Clemens got lucky (and it's not just him, many pitchers get lucky) in only giving up 2 runs when he gave up 10 hits in 6 innings. You put 10 runners on in 6 innings and I'd be willing to bet one time out of 10 you only allow 2 runs. When you allow nearly 2 runners an inning, you're fortunate in only giving up 2 runs. He was shelled - Detroit just didn't collect runs when they should have.

Gee, you think there's a problem with your being too defensive with Mr Million Bucks a Start?

    Detroit @ Seattle July 12th, 2007 Seattle won 3-2: King Felix' line: 6.1 IP, 10 hits, 2 ER, 2BB, 6K
    Seattle @ Baltimore Aug 8th, 2007 Seattle won 8-4: King Felix line: 6.2 IP 10 hits, 4ER, 0BB, 2K
    Chicago @ Seattle Aug 19th, 2007 Seattle won 11-5: King Felix line: 6.1 IP 10 hits, 4 ER, 3 BB 5K

I guess King Felix has been pretty lucky as well, and Geez, he's only 20...

  • I never said Clemens was alone in his luck.

Anytime a pitcher gets that many guys on he's really tempting fate in expecting a low run total. Its not opinion, its math. Sorry that because it came in criticizing a yankee that somehow makes the argument less valid.

Has nothing to do with a Yankee, except for the fact that you made it about a Yankee. Clemens has given up 10 hits once in what, 13 starts, and won. King Felix has given up 10 hits or more in 6 of 22 starts, going 3-1 with 2 NDs, which the Mariners won.

Same old Ax, looking for anything to critique about the Yankees and then does a 180 when he can't back up his opinion because of the play of his Mariners.

Just an observation.. Personally, don't know how credible a poll is when one of the subjects has created at least 6 aliases in the past 8 months. One would naturally assume that he's still making them so something, for once, can fall into his favor.

As a side note, I still haven't voted. Waiting for option C: everyone loses

    Good luck image

Too bad, cause that's the right answer.

EDIT: I've been told that this was the Special Olympics answer of the thread, so I'll elaborate. Stitzen has been posting in a way that I consider to be trolling. It has gotten worse since all this started. That's my point of view, I'm not debating it with anyone. It is lessening my experience on the board. I enjoyed Stown's posts and now he's gone. So from my selfish perspective I feel like I lost.

Yes, I know you are being sarcastic with the image

Having said that, if anyone can show another alias posting, signing in, or whatever from an IP my one and only alias has ever posted from, I'll gladly give them my complete 1955 Topps set.

Carol can confirm that it has never happened and will never happen.
