After reflecting on axtell's half-ass pathetic excuse for an apology, I'm done with this place as well.
Why should I be an active participant on a board that condones his type of behavior? Regardless of the name calling, the flame wars, bitterness, and circumventing the word filter, the guy wished death and rejoiced when he heard someone's family member passed away. That poster no longer comes here because he's absolutely disgusted that axtell is able to post again. I don't give a flying flip if he denies it, that's his typical MO. "May" have insulted people? How much crap are you shoveling there?
Dallas put it best, how miserable must someone's life be to be banned here SIX times yet keeps coming back? All of the other boards he's posted on feel the exact same way. We've all seen it, so there's no denying it. For the mods and PSA to allow it ONLY because he bribed his way back on is completely irresponsible and a piss poor reflection upon them as a company. So many great posters have been bammed for less yet this putz is allowed to keep coming back? Bull poop!

I'll occasionally come on to check PMs, give props due in the Sports Cards & Memorabilia Forum, and post pictures in the Texans thread since some appreciate it.

But if that means you have to give up something that you enjoy, you can always consider just ignoring them. Why let them get the best of you by giving up something that you like to do? Life is too short and has too many opportunities to miss. I am not going to blame one particuliar poster for my lack of posting in close to one year (save the occasional Eagles post), but it just got real old real fast -- especially when they keep coming back ban after ban and begging for more. Why he does, no one will ever know or understand.
I just told myself "don't be THAT guy".

I truly appreciate the well wishes via PM. Unfortunately with so many, I can't respond to them all, so consider this as my response
Think of it this way, say you and your buddies have a favorite watering hole where you watch the games. A loud and foul mouthed chump, who wears a jersey of some team on the other side of the country (even though he's never been to that side of the mason/dixon line), talks trash to everyone, yet sits there by himself. The bartender has thrown him out on several occasions but because of his lack of a social life, keeps coming back. For the most part, it's just background noise and you try your best to ignore it. However, after countless pokes, you can't take it anymore. You voice your displeasure and the bartender says, "Sorry, but he pays his tab and I'm in it just for the money. So he stays"
Would you rather continue supporting that establishment or go elsewhere?
No one is holding a gun to my head, so I'm using my American right to go elsewhere. Don't get me wrong, I'm not encouraging others to do the same. It's my choice and my decision.

Stown you will be missed, but I would never have given ass clown the satisfaction. He's probably sitting at home rubbing one out to your goodbye mesage.
My wife will be induced on Monday, so I will have some new priorities to fill my time with.
I hope that when I come back (if I'm allowed due to my previous sacreligious statements) that things have cooled down a bit, and there will be such a thing as a civilized debate on these boards.
Until then I wish all of you well and hope that those guys that left us decide to rejoin us.

Stown, my maternal grandmother was Amish and when someone acted like axtell they got shunned and it worked marvelously. I never get mad at him, in fact he brings me chuckles (not the candy). My suggestion instead is to take some time away and come back and ignore his transparent posts, which he only does to get a reaction. His predictability is kind of comforting. Next time he puts a hook in the pond just swim away.
