ANA March '08 in Phoenix : who plans on attending?

I know it is a few months away, but there was a thread on the US forum talking about the recent ANA and the disappointing turn-out. I'm curious to hear how many of our darkside collectors and dealers here plan on attending. For those that haven't seen it yet, here is the info on ANA's website:

As you can see, my Mesa Coin Club is looking forward to co-hosting the event, and hope to see many of you there.

Here are my thoughts on why i think the turn-out will be quite good:

1) very short flight from populated west coast cities like LA, So Cal, Vegas, etc.
2) very large and busy international airport with flights from everywhere for you east coast/overseas folks
3) tons of hotels, resorts and restraurants
4) great weather that time of year; come for the show, stay for golf! (Phoenix has more golf courses than any other place in the world)
5) bring the kids, go to the show, and then take a drive to see one of the great wonders of the world (Grand Canyon, a must see!)
6) America's 5th largest city; much larger city than most ANA venues should mean a better turn-out just in native city dwellers.
7) tons of 'snow birds' that time of year = another 300,000-400,000 more people from all over the country that may want to attendj
8) nice, safe, modern venue with good parking

the chance to meet me! hey, isn't that reason enough for a large turn-out!? image

  • Well I have sold my house and am downsizing which should mean no mortgage!
I may be able to make some shows across the pond ( watch out the manxie is about! ).

It comes down to choose between ANA and CICF for those of us who can't do both. As far as I'm concerned, CICF is the one show I will definitely attend this year. No offense to the ANA shows, but CICF and NYINC are on a league of their own for Darksiders.

And that's without counting the traditional dinner at Gibson's. image

My wife used to live in Phoenix but probably won't be able to make this show in the spring.
