listing pulled from ebay, first time ever this has happened to me :(
I just had a listing pulled from ebay, this was the ad
1873 CARSON CITY
SEATED TRADE DOLLAR - COPY?
I DO NOT BELIEVE IT IS REAL
THE REAL TRADE DOLLARS WEIGHT
.787 OF A OUNCE
THIS ONE IS .770 THIS WOULD BE A GREAT SLIDER OR CONVERSATION PIECE
IF IT WAS REAL THE PRICE GUIDE PUTS IT AT
$4150.00 IN GOOD CONDITION
AND $30,000 IN VF WOW!!
I bought this on ebay with almost the same type of ad?
HAS ANYONE EVER HAD A AD PULLED? I was not misleading anyone just letting them know it was a copy, because of the weight .

According to eBay's listing rules, yes.
U.S. federal laws strictly prohibit the sale of counterfeit coins or paper money, as well as equipment designed to make these illegal products. U.S. law also protects coins or paper money from counterfeiters. Therefore, these counterfeit items may not be listed on eBay.
From here: Selling Coins
Sellers agree not to knowingly sell, exhibit, trade, produce, or advertise a copy or reproduction of any numismatic item if its nature is not clearly indicated by the word "copy" or "reproduction," incused in the metal or printed on the paper thereof.

They like this:
<< <i>IS IT REAL?????? YOU BE THE JUDGE!! >>
In the case of a Trade Dollar, because it was demonitorized by the Gov't, is a fake still considered counterfeit money?
In any case, somebody probably dropped dime on you.
get the money you refer to? If it is a fake, then just list it on the bay as a maybe, you be the judge coin.
That's BS and that's why ebay has rules and why the US gov't enforces their laws.
Just my humble opinion,
bob

Yes, I saw that, but you alluded to the fact it might be worth big bucks, did you not? Have it
stamped copy and then sell it as such and you'll get a fair price for a copy. As a coin seller and
collector it would be your responsiblility to keep this copy out of circulation unless marked as
such. It was listed in the wrong catagory as well. It was in the coin catagory and as a copy
it would not be a coin but a token.

The auction involved PCGS, Ebay and a PowerScrewer with a GO FISH MYSTERY LOT.
It lasted all of two hours, started at one cent, had ten bidders and 254 visitors as I recall.... and was up to ten dollars. I think AskRaq from the boards was winning. The ad didn't tell the EBAYERS that there was an MS68 Cheerios Sacagawea in it... Someone made sure I never got the chance. (I was trying to raise money to help my kid with college
God bless you, whoever you are. Your services were greater than that of St Peter or Ceasar.
Heritage just sold an MS 67 for $11,500. I would have lost.
