Ok, so this might be a dumb question on Canadian Silver Dollars

A guy called me to day and said he had an 1870 Canadian Silver Dollar in XF. Now he is 88 years old and seemed to be sure of this coin. I tried looking it up in the cataloge and could not find it, nor are there any on eBay to be found, or any where else on the internet. Do you think he meant a half dollar? Is there such a thing?
