Maybe Ebay is slowly getting it

Received this tonight. They should make it 98% and not 95%. I have yet to see someone with thousands of buyers and a rating of 95%
Dear Marc,
We're writing to tell you about an important announcement we've made concerning eBay policies and standards for seller performance. eBay is taking steps to protect the interests of good sellers like you and the consumer's overall experience on eBay.
First of all, we assure you that your current level of performance exceeds the standards. Congratulations and thank you.
Sellers are expected to perform in a manner resulting in a consistently high level of buyer satisfaction. If, over a 90-day period, a seller's interactions with buyers result in greater than a 5% level of buyer dissatisfaction as evidenced by negative/neutral feedback and/or Item Not Received complaints, that seller will be considered in violation of eBay's Seller Non-Performance policy. Note we're currently not including Detailed Seller Ratings in the enforcement of this policy since they're so new to the marketplace.
As a seller in good standing, you're well aware that buyer satisfaction is vital to your continued success -- and the continued success of eBay. Thank you for your solid track record and continued commitment to good customer service. We're confident that enforcing this policy will go a long way to keeping eBay a great place to buy and sell for you and for all our users.
Sincerely,
eBay Trust & Safety

<< <i>Personally, I find it really hard to buy someone who doesn't have at least a 99.7% rating. >>
I have not bought someone in a while, but I usually like them to be 99.8% or better, either way they always say its too beau coup anyways.

Question is how is the 95% figures is it figured like Power Seller min. rating is or liike the percentage is figured?
The 98% for Power Seller status is based on all transactions not just uniques.
<< <i>I think this is gonna cause a lot of problems. I sell maybe 3 things a week on average. which comes out to right around 40ish items in a 90 day span. So i get a crazy buyer, or the PO misplaces just one envelope/box, and i will have a 90 day average below 95%. Trust me, this is not gonna be smooth, a lot of good sellers will be put in a tight spot if something goes wrong on just one transaction. >>
This is the problem I see, and it's a big one. It's not talking about your ranking being below 95% it's talking about any 90 day snapshot dropping below 95%. If you sell 2 or 3 items a month, and 1 comes back negative your in violation even if your overall rating might be 99.8%.

What does it even mean, in terms of consequences, to be "in violation of eBay's Seller Non-Performance policy"? What happens? Suspension? A dirty look?
they are definately not going to get rid of him, makes em too muck jingle!i dont pay any attention to their stupid new rules and stuff, too much reading and they change their polices every other day,too many chiefs and not enuff indians at ebay, kinda like the time they tried to push the great new checkout on everybody a few years back that sucked, found out people wernt going to do it, made it optional
<< <i>I gotta find some 95.1% sellers just so I can buy something and put them over the edge. >>
