Ebay no listing fee day??

I listed one item, and there was no listing fee as announced. However, when I tried to list other items, I was going to be charged the insertion fee. Anyone else had this problem?
Running an Ebay store sure takes a lot more time than a person would think!

  • Did you read the fine print?

It has to be 9.99 or less AND you have to use gallery. There were also category restrictions. Also many times Ebay will credit these at a later time

Maybe it was a glitch on the one item that went through, because I didn't use gallery on it.

So you still have to pay the 35 cents for Gallery on each auction then?

  • free listing with gallery? or free total listing if under 9.99. hmm.
  • It's not really free listing day today, if you haven't noticed. Ebay's 14% final value reduced fee ended yesterday. So what better way to re-coop their losses, they offer a Free listing day, but will collect the 100% final value fee. Making everyone think it's a good time to list items starting at 9.99 Ebay will probley make another billion dollars by the end of the week collecting the full value fee from everyone listing more items than usual.

I rather have the reduced 14% value fee, because you end up with more profit, than the suggested 30 cent listing.

It's just a marketing strategy, that will make ebay richer!

It's the sellers who really lose!

Why do people act like Ebay has no right to make money? Last time I checked they are a business. The way I look at it the more money I pay them the more I am making in the end. My sales were 2600 for the last month and I owe Ebay 190.00 thats less than 10% add in Paypal and it comes to about 11% of my total sales. Sorry but that is better than you can get anywhere.
