free submissions.....good for this or not?

Anybody ever used thier six or twelve free submissions for high dollar cards....like $1000 plus? If so...do you feel you got the grade it should have or maybe one lower?

I'm curious if everyone has been happy with the grades they did get from thier free submissions....I would assume the graders have no way of knowing that is the service level you chose...but who knows?

I bought a 1952 Bowman Large Sammy Baugh in a Global 8 holder, cracked it out and used a free sub for the card and it came back in a 8. I had very good luck that time.

don't they have the $500 declared value as a max on the free sumbissions?

  • That's basically for insurance purposes in return shipment, am I correct guys?

    You know, a PSA 7 may be $300, a PSA 8 may be $1600...etc.

So is it just for insurance? It says there is a $500 value limit.

I guess I could just check the website, but would the free submission cover a combination of a couple cards and a couple tickets? I have some world series tickets I would like to get graded.

  • The $500 limit has always seemed crazy to me. Most of the cards I submit it would just be an opinion....I have no way of knowing what they will grade ahead of time...if they grade a 3 than the value is $400...if they grade a 6 then its $1500.....who knows.
