help..... grading question

I know most people dont like qualifies (oc) but what does it mean? looking at the pop report.. it goes 8. 8q, 9, 9q,10
does a 9q meet all other 10 standards but has a qualifier?? so it gets bumped a notch???

Well -- it could meet all other standards for a 9, but for the qualifier.

Theoretically, a 9 o/c would either be a) straight 9 if it were centered, or b) a 10 if it were centered. The card can have perfect corners, and be downgraded to 9 o/c just because of the centering. But it might have only 9 corners and thus be downgraded for the same reason.

Same reasoning applies to all the other qualifiers (OF, MC, MK)

I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
