1998 Upperdeck Football...game dated???

Can anyone help me with this? I found a 500 dount box at a flea market and about 50 of the cards have a foil stamp on the front that says "game dated". Were these inserts? If so, how common were they?

do you have a scan you could post? i know in basketball that year there are regular game dated in the set then the rare versions were foil and worth quite a bit.

He's right... you're looking for the ones with a full foil enhanced front. You'll be able to tell the difference when you see them.

I believe the game dated set was also numbered to #/100 on the back.

This is the most common confusion among any set. All my friends in school were all excited because they pulled a $2500 Jordan and $600 Kobe in the same pack. I would have to explain why they were idiots and they had $5 and $3 cards. I still see people who have $500 price tags on $2 cards, I have given up on explaining it to them.
