Playing with my camera, need help: warning large photos

I have a Canon Powershot A85 4.0 mega pixel. My setup is a small copy stand with 2 Reveal 75w bulbs at 3 + 9 o'clock. The camera is in macro mode and the lens is about 6" above the subject. The background color of the stand is grey. I have MS Photo Editor software.

All of these photos came out too much red with none of the darker blue/browns coming thru. Would appreciate suggestions to help get better color correction.

Nice coins, Gene! I'm not familiar with the Powershot - is there a white balance setting?

I ran a couple of your images through Photoshop and it got rid of the red "haze", which proper white balance should achieve - what do you think?

Thanks Roman - those are closer. Especially the 1852. I need to figure out the White balance thing.

I have an Olympus C3000 Zoom (thanks Cosmic from a few years ago) and if yours is anything like mine simply pick the white balance setting off your menu.

After rereading the manual and using up a set of batteries I finally figured out how to adjust the white balance setting. These were taken at the tungsten setting. Color is pretty close to in hand look. What do you think? I deleted a few pix in the OP for the dial uppers.

Nice Pics.. and go buy a few packs of rechargable batteries. Really worth the price.
